We empower youth, street children and orphans in Addis Ababa and in Melka Uda, Shashamane, 250 km south of Addis Ababa and support:

All donations made via UPIA flow directly into the projects mentioned above and into related social infrastructure.
The aim is to maintain and improve their core capabilities so that the whole community is served and can grow.

Shashemane:

Get involved with UPIA to strengthen the foundation and empower even more Shashemane street children in a positive and wholistic way!

Beside instant measures like providing food, clothes or a football to play, we are trying to identify children who are living under unbearable circumstances in order to improve their social situation with care and as the individual case may be, e.g. new clothes or an education in school.

Yabtsega (literally “God’s Glory”) needs your help!

Due to the official corridor modernisation respectively the development of the infrastructure (e.g. for new roads etc.) all over Ethiopia and Shashemane, many families like the one of Selam are suffering because of damage or even complete loss of their livelihood (housing, shops etc.). Luckily we were able to find a new house for the whole family recently, where many other families are still in times of need without help.

Nyabinghi Headquarters

Due to the official corridor modernisation respectively the development of the infrastructure (e.g. for new roads etc.) all over Ethiopia and Shashemane, many families within the area of the Rastafari community are suffering because of damage or even complete loss of their livelihood (housing, shops etc.). In that context the Rastafari community is affected as well by loosing almost half of the Nyabinghi Headquarters and its Tabernacle (“sacred space”), creating the urgent goal to resolutely raise the funds needed for immediate intervention.

All donations referring to Nyabinghi Headquarters will be used to strengthen, secure and rebuild the Nyabinghi Tabernacle as a sacred space for the local community and international visitors in a long term view (see flyer).

All Tribes & Nations Tabernacle Wondo Genet

A new All Tribes & Nations Tabernacle (“sacred space”) has been established by Jah Leel in the mountains of Wondo Genet in Sidamo near Shashamane.
